Brief:
FPT Hope School is one of the private schools under the FPT Education system in Vietnam, established in 2019. FPT Hope School aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for full development. In addition, the school also focuses on the development and application of technology in education, helping students acquire knowledge and skills relevant to today’s digital age.
At FPT Grand Opening held in July 2022, Chairman Truong Gia Binh of FPT Corporation wanted to present the vision and mission of HOPE school: “Providing education for children who lost their parents due to COVID – 19” to all guests at this event.

Story: HOPE – showing the dedication and commitment of FPT to care and provide for children who lost their parents due to COVID-19, once again affirming the vision of FPT, which is delivering technology for life’s sake

To make this presentation touch the heart of many audiences, I used the song “Den Gio Com” with a gentle, nostalgic melody to tell the story and express sympathy for children orphaned by Covid 19. Then, the Chairman as story-teller started the presentation with the flow:
– The background
“The COVID-19 outbreak has brought many challenges and tragedies. Countries went into lock down. Businesses were forced to close. Millions of workers lost their jobs. And especially, thousands of children lost their parents and caregivers.
Last September, I remembered watching the news, reporting that there were 1,700 children in Vietnam orphaned by Covid-19. My heart sank when I saw that. That’s when FPT Hope School was born”.
– Why HOPE?
“As one of the leading corporations in Vietnam, I feel that FPT has the responsibility to show these children that: There is still kindness. There is still love. And there is still HOPE.
Less than 24 hours since I and the Board of Directors member came up with this idea, we quickly introduced the implementation plan and the outlined teaching syllabus. The name Hope represents their late parents’ greatest wish and our aspiration: hope that they will have a good and happy life.”
– From hard childhood to trust in the power of education.
“When North Vietnam was bombarded, I was just 8 years old. I was forced to leave my family and move to the countryside. Those were the months of hunger, cold, and restless nights because of homesickness. But I learned that tough times build strong and independent people. I did not grow up with my parents by my side, but I had my friends. Therefore, I want to create an environment in which children learn and grow together. I was a scientist before becoming a businessman. So, I have a strong belief in the power of education.”
– The summary of these training courses:
“In the next 20 years, FPT Hope School will provide continuous training and care support to 1,000 children. These training courses cover various fields, including technology, multimedia design, science – so they can learn anything they want and follow their dream. We will ensure that these children can grow up in the best environment possible, with the care and love of the teachers and their peers.”
– The relationship between technology and education:
“At FPT, our philosophy is to serve society and make everyone’s life better. Today, we talk a lot about technology. For us, technology follows the same philosophy. Technology is for humanity. Technology is for life’s sake. FPT will continue to live by this philosophy, and we hope to have your support as we pursue making lives better. Thank you!”
Finally, the Chairman and the children sang the song of Hope School in the joyful, loving atmosphere at this event.
